Source: SuppliedAN updated slide on Apple’s official guide to iOS 8 on the iPad revealed pictures and names of the iPads expected tomorrow, along with confirmation of the expectation that the flagship iPads would have Touch ID fingerprint readers.
The image you see here — along with several sample pages of information about apps — is all that slipped out, so much still remains unconfirmed by Apple, including updates to the under-the-hood hardware and the iPad version of the operating system. However, a reference to burst shooting on the iPad Air 2 confirms that the iPad Air’s camera (or at least the camera software) will be more advanced than its predecessor’s. The iPad Mini 3 does not appear to have burst shooting.
The Verge and 9to5 Mac previously reported the leak. Apple didn’t immediately respond for comment.
Apple has now pulled the images from its iTunes and iBooks services. The iOS 8 guide listing now only shows slides featuring the 2013 iPad line-up.
