CHENNAI: The Karnataka high court will pronounce its verdict on former Tamil Nadu chief minister and AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa's appeal against her conviction in the Rs 66.65-crore disproportionate assets case on May 11.

An official notification in this regard was issued by chief justice of the Karnataka high court Friday evening. The notification said the court would deliver its verdict in the case against Jayalalithaa and her associates at 11am on Monday.

"The special vacation single bench of Justice C R Kumaraswamy is constituted to sit in court hall no 14, at 11am on Monday, May 11, 2015, for pronouncement of judgment in criminal appeal no 835/2014 connected with criminal appeals," read the notification issued by the high court.

The announcement came after a flurry of rumours and 'confirmed information' flooding various social networking sites during the past two days. Jayalalithaa, her associates N Sasikalaa, J Elavarasi and V N Sudhagaran were convicted of corruption charges and amassment of illegal wealth by a special court in Bengaluru on September 27, 2014.

All four were sentenced to undergo imprisonment for a period of four years each. They were ordered to pay a total fine of Rs 130 crore. The special court also ordered confiscation of all the properties listed in the case.
