Referring to the mountain of garbage at the dumping ground in Govandi behind the stage, Yadav said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should first start his "cleanliness drive" from Govandi. "I will write to the PM and tell him to use the broom here too," he said.
He criticized the PM for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and said the cleanliness drive was not in the BJP's manifesto. "Since they failed to bring down prices of commodities, they have tried to divert the people's attention with the broom," he said.
He accused the BJP of dividing people in the name of 'love jihad'. "I witnessed love jihad near the hotel where I am staying. You will have to first stop love jihad in Mumbai," he said.
