IE Kamei, a native of Bunkyo-KU in Japan, was robbed of his bag containing 10,000 Japanese Yen, 15,000 in Indian currency, a sleeping bag, an electronic dictionary and other belongings, by an unidentified miscreant at Sawai Man Singh Hospital (SMS) on October 10, police said on Sunday.
The tourist had gone to the hospital to meet a friend who had suffered a limb fracture, an official at the Motidungari police station said.
A complaint was lodged by the foreigner with a police post at the SMS hospital on Saturday, the official said, adding that investigation was on.
