SrideviSridevi has slapped a legal notice on filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma for using her name as the title of his upcoming film Sridevi. Trouble began when RGV changed the film's title from Savitri to Sridevi. Apparently, what irked Sridevi and Boney Kapoor even more was that RGV didn't even give an explanation when they tried to contact him.

Since the actress hasn't given her consent to use her name as a film's title, her lawyers have also stated that it is gross violation of her privacy and would subject her to needless embarrassment as she does not have any control over the content of any unauthorised or unapproved film.
We hear, Sridevi has given RGV three days to comply to all her conditions which include an unconditional apology, change in film's title and refraining from using her images, likeness, persona and other attributes failing which she'll be forced to initiate legal proceedings. RGV remained unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
