In the picture, Aishwarya Rai looks the ethereal beauty that she is. Dressed in traditional wedding attire dsigned by Neeta Lulla, flowers in her hair and top to toe in jewellery, Aishwarya made a beautiful bride. Abhishek on the other hand, looked dashing in a golden sherwani woven by traditional Varanasi weavers. The happiness about marrying one of the most beautiful women in the world, is clearly written all over his face.
Mickey Contractor, who is close to both Abhishek and Aishwarya captioned the picture, “Wishing my favourite couple a very Happy Anniversary. Love you both.”
This is the first time that fans have got to see Abhishek and Aishwarya on their wedding day. Though a few pictures made their way to the net, none were as clear as the one Mickey shared on Instagram.
Aishwarya and Abhishek, who first met on the sets of Dhai Akshar Prem Ka, tied the knot on April 20, 2007 at a private ceremony at the Bachchan’s Juhu residence, Prateeksha. The Wedding was held as per the north Indian, Bengali and Tulu traditions.
The couple is blessed with a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan who was born on November 16, 2011.
