Police didn’t find any suicide note. (RepresentativBANGALORE: A 29-year-old TV journalist allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling in his house in Sanjay Nagar on Friday night. Sanjay Ladhimath was working as a copy editor with a TV channel in the city. He was recently married and was living with his wife in a rented apartment.
Police said Sanjay had been to Badami to meet his wife and returned on Friday night. On Saturday morning, when his wife called him, he did not answer the phone. She then asked their neighbour Shanthi to check on Sanjay. Despite repeated knocks, Sanjay didn't open the door. Alerted by Shanthi, police reached the spot and broke open the door to find Sanjay hanging. Police didn't find any suicide note.
"We have registered a case of suicide and are questioning Sanjay's colleagues and relatives. According to office staff, Sanjay was happy and there was no reason for him to take such a step." said a cop.
